We use sustainably mined Oregon Sunstone mined in Oregon, .925 sterling silver, solid gold (never plated items) and other mixed metals as well as recycled diamonds and many other North American gems.
Oregon Sunstones really look their very best and brightest when they are clean. We recommend weekly cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with warm water and a small a quantity mild degreasing dish soap. Use an old nylon tooth brush to gently scrub underneath the stone. Never use anything abrasive like toothpaste to clean your jewelry.
If you order a ring in the wrong size, we can resize it for you. Send it to us and we will return it to you ASAP. The charge for this service depends on the materials and labor involved. If you ordered a bracelet and it doesn't fit quite right just email us and we will coach you about what can be done.
If for any reason you
are not satisfied with your purchase from our online store, please contact us
immediately or within 30 days of purchase. In some cases, we may
offer to customize a piece for you if you are not completely satisfied. Refunds
on purchases from our website are not allowed without prior authorization from
us so please email or call first.
Once the returned item
is received, it will be inspected to be sure that it is returned in perfect
condition (unworn) before a refund is issued. Confirmation will be given via
email. The return postage will be paid by the customer.
Customized jewelry, made
to customer specifications or designed around gems provided by the customer,
are non-returnable.
We recommend that you go to a local jewelry store to have your finger sized if possible. They can size your finger using special tools that are accurate depending on the width of the ring. Keep in mind, wider rings need to be larger than narrower ones for the same finger. If you are not able to do this, we have a sizing tool that we can send you so email us and let us know. Most of our bracelets are a cuff style which can be adjusted by you and will typically work for small and medium size wrists. Cuffs should be adjusted only once and left with an opening that allows you to put on and take off without stressing the metal. Necklaces are a standard lengths, 16, 18, or 20 inches. One of these lengths works for most people.
Oregon Sunstone has a Moh's hardness of 6.5 to 7.25. Several gemstones fall within the Mohs hardness range of 6.5 to 7, meaning they have moderate hardness and can withstand everyday wear with some care. Some common ones in this range: Peridot, Amethyst, Jade, Citrine. Sunstone set into pendants and earrings are virtually immune to damage. Rings set with Oregon Sunstone require TLC and are not for every lifestyle. Remove your ring when working with metal objects or soil. Rings naturally receive a great deal of abuse which can result in scratching or chipping of your your Oregon Sunstone.
