This Sunstone is a beautiful example of how beautiful Schiller can be! Schiller is a “phenomenon” unique to Oregon Sunstone which is actually copper particles suspended in the feldspar crystal appearing as sparkles or Spangles inside the gemstone. These tiny points of light are very hard to capture in a photograph. Look closely and you will see areas in the stone that have ashimmery appearance.
The diversity in Oregon Sunstone is nearly limitless. This is one of many reasons why we love this gemstone so much! It is a gem collectors dream, occurring in endless colors variations with or without Schiller, bi color, tri color or no color. Have fun collecting!
