CHAMPAGNE OREGON SUNSTONE
Champagne Sunstone is the name that the Sunstone Store uses to describe the warm toned Sunstone that most people think of as yellow. It exhibits just a hint of golden glowing warmth. This particular color is the most abundant variety found in southeastern Oregon in the area of Rabbit Basin. The crystals are often quite large and free of inclusions and can be faceted to create a brilliant gemstone that appears to glow. Once called Plush Diamonds, casual observers will often mistake them for diamonds. Although Champagne Sunstone is rarer than diamonds, this variety is very affordable, often costing $50 to $150 per carat depending on the size. The Sunstone Store uses the finest crystals to cut & polish so they are nearly flawless.
Once Called “Plush Diamonds”!
The Champagne color is especially beautiful when it has been precisely cut into a symmetrical round brilliant. Much like any gemstone, Sunstone will be enhanced by fine cutting and polishing with good proportions.
At the Sunstone Store we maintain a large collection of Pear Shape, Emerald Cut, Oval, Cushion and more. Rounds are most popular by far because they are most brilliant as long as cutting & polishing are exceptional. The Sunstone Store has a huge collection of well-cut Oregon Sunstones ready to set in all shapes and sizes.
